Terms of use

These terms of use apply to your use of the Otterly mobile application and the otterly.club website. Please read them carefully. Your access and use of our services is also subject to the Privacy Policy and the Community Guidelines.

1. Eligibility

• You are at least 18 years old and legally free to marry (unmarried, divorced, or widowed; if separated or awaiting divorce, you state so truthfully on your profile).
• You have no convictions related to violence, harassment or sexual misconduct.
• You are not prohibited from using the service by any applicable law.

2. Account registration

To use Otterly you must register with your phone number, Google or Apple account. You are responsible for all activity under your credentials. Name, date of birth, phone and email cannot be changed after registration. If you suspect unauthorised access, contact us immediately.

3. Community guidelines

We expect respectful behaviour at all times. The following are strictly prohibited: harassment, hate speech or offensive content; sexual content or pressure; commercial solicitation or spam; impersonation, fake or stolen photos; requesting money, documents or OTPs; use by married persons; and any behaviour described in our Community Guidelines. Violations may lead to warnings, limits, hiding, pausing or immediate permanent suspension without refund.

4. Moderation and verification

You agree that we may review your profile, photos, verification selfie and messages (including by automated systems) to enforce these terms and keep the community safe, and that we may remove content or accounts at our discretion.

5. Payments and refunds

Otterly sells digital goods (subscriptions, Day Pass, Lifetime, Pearls) through the Apple App Store and Google Play. Purchases are non-refundable except as required by law or the stores’ policies. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled through your store account settings. Separately, if you marry a person you met on Otterly, we will refund 100% of your Premium spend on request with reasonable evidence.

Wedding sponsorship. Eligible couples who first met on Otterly (not people who already knew each other and used the app to match), and who both held Premium at the time they matched, may have a chance to win a $10,000 wedding sponsorship. The prize is discretionary, not guaranteed, and subject to terms we share with eligible couples.

6. Safety disclaimer

Otterly does not conduct criminal background checks. Verification confirms a live selfie matches profile photos; it does not guarantee identity, intent or character. You are solely responsible for your interactions with other users. Always use caution and follow our safety guidance when meeting in person.

7. Intellectual property

Otterly, Olly and associated logos are our trademarks. You grant us a licence to display the content you upload for the purpose of operating the service. You must not scrape, copy or redistribute other members’ content.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Otterly is provided “as is” and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the service or interactions with other members.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the courts in Bengaluru, Karnataka.
